Please join us again at our monthly social gathering at Louis’ Lounge at Mory’s on Wednesday, October 14, from 5:30-7:30 PM.

Join the Yale Club of New Haven and Yale School of Music for a special evening of music and conversation on Wednesday, October 21.

The evening begins at 6:30 pm in Sudler Hall with a pre-concert talk by Paul Berry, Deputy Dean and Associate Professor at the Yale School of Music and an expert in German music. Professor Berry will offer insights into faculty pianist Robert Blocker’s recital program, exploring the works, their composers and historical contexts, and the demands they place on the performer.

The pre-concert talk is free but RSVP is required.

At 7:30 p.m., Robert Blocker, William Edward Gilbert Professor of Piano and former Dean of the Yale School of Music, will perform a recital featuring works by Telemann and Schumann. An internationally acclaimed concert pianist, Blocker has performed throughout the world in recital, chamber music, and orchestral settings.

As part of this collaboration, the Yale School of Music is pleased to offer Yale Club of New Haven alumni 35% off the regular concert ticket price.
